Mercedes-Benz has stated that if market conditions allow, it would transition to all-electric vehicles by 2030. Audi intends to introduce exclusively electric vehicles on the market beginning in 2026, with combustion vehicles being phased out by 2033. What about BMW, though? For the time being, they are unwilling to accept such a responsibility, and the manufacturer claims that the internal combustion engine still has a useful life.

BMW does not want to exit the internal combustion engine industry too soon, forcing consumers to acquire electric cars at a time when charging infrastructure is still far from allowing mass adoption of electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the Euro 7 rules are approaching.
