Ford Europe has put an astonishing amount of effort in a three-and-a-half-minute video into promoting the Ranger Raptor Special Edition pickup truck.

The decorative elements extend over the bonnet and roof to the rear loading flap and on the side from the A-pillars to over the rear wheel arches, where they are delimited by the Raptor lettering. The radiator grille, bumpers, flared fenders and door handles are also finished in matt black. The tow hooks, on the other hand, shine in a strong red. In the double cabin interior, the colour scheme reappears in the form of a matt black instrument panel and red decorative stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels.

Technically, however, nothing changes. The question is whether the Ranger Raptor Special Edition truck offers enough power to escape the chasers is answered. The double turbocharged 2-litre four-cylinder diesel produces an unchanged 213 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 500 Nm. A ten-speed gearbox transfers the power to all four wheels. The "Terrain Management System" with its six different driving programs is sure to contain the right mode for off-road.

In October, the Ranger Raptor Special Edition rolls out to the Ford dealerships. With a gross price of 70,014 euros, it is more expensive than a standard Raptor.@ via Ford.
