Skoda's most large SUV has been updated with a sharper look inside and out, exclusive equipment and the latest generation of EVO engines. The top model, Skoda KODIAQ RS, now has a TSI petrol engine with 245 hp.

Some SUVs are just bigger and roomier than others, and like the Kodiak bear, after which Skoda's most large SUV is named, KODIAQ is at the top of the food chain - on European roads: Possibility of three rows of seats, up to 835 litres of luggage and up to 2,500 kg on the towbar. In other words, it is the ultimate family car for active leisure time, whether it is parent-driving football rollings, transporting mountain bikes or towing a boat trailer.

The new Skoda KODIAQ has a rugged look and better aerodynamics.

Now the facelifted new Skoda KODIAQ has been presented to the world press. The new KODIAQ features updated exterior and interior design, exclusive equipment, and the latest generation of EVO engines.

The most striking thing is the redesigned front, which gives KODIAQ a more distinctive and rugged look. It has a new radiator cap, a more upright radiator grille, a new front bumper and front spoiler, a different placement of the fog lamps, and slimmer LED headlights, which are now also available with full LED and matrix technology. Seen from the side, the icing on the cake - or rather under the car - is the possibility of new alloy wheels of up to 20".

The rear end has also been updated with a glossy black rear spoiler with integrated brake light, a visually narrow rear window, a new rear bumper, and new taillights with full LED as the standard option of dynamic turn signals. Overall, the back elements' new elements make KODIAQ appear more vibrant, just as the aerodynamics have been improved.

Inside, the new Skoda KODIAQ also contains new features in the form of a two-way steering wheel that is available with heat and Hands-on Detect. The latter keeps an eye on whether the driver is touching the steering wheel or has potentially lost control of the vehicle.

The instrument panel and side doors have been given contrasting stitching, and the ambient lighting creates an atmosphere with several features.

As for infotainment systems, Skoda KODIAQ now has the latest generation, which is always online and available with Skoda's digital assistant 'Laura', who understands and speaks your language. The touch screen is up to 9.2-inch, but just as interesting, Skoda KODIAQ is now available with a virtual cockpit with a screen of 10.25-inch. It is standard in the top model KODIAQ RS, where it even has its own RS layout. If you want your very own concert hall, the Canton sound system has a total of 10 speakers - which deliver a total of 575 watts. The bulky sound system is standard equipment in the KODIAQ RS.

When you drive and listen, you have to sit well. The new Skoda KODIAQ already has large and well-shaped seats. Still, as a novelty, KODIAQ can be equipped with an ergonomic driver's seat with several different adjustment options, massage function and cool air.

The Skoda KODIAQ's safety assistance systems also offer a novelty in the form of Crew Protect Assist, which in a fraction of a second prepares KODIAQ for a collision and optimizes the protection of passengers - even in the event of rear-end collisions.

245 hp and 0-100 km / h. in 6.3 seconds

Under the hood, the new Skoda KODIAQ presents the new generation of EVO engines, all of which - both TSI petrol engines and TDI diesel engines - live up to the Euronorm 6d. The minimum TSI engine is 1.5 TSI with 150 hp / 250 Nm, and there is also a 2.0 TSI with 190 hp / 320 Nm. However, the most significant change can be found in the Skoda KODIAQ RS, which previously had a TDI engine and now has a TSI engine with 245 hp and 370 Nm. Those forces can move the KODIAQ SUV from 0 to 100 km / h. in just 6.3 seconds and give a top speed of 232 km / h.

As for the TDI diesel engines, you can choose between a 2.0 TDI with 150 hp / 360 Nm and a 2.O TDI with 200 hp / 400 Nm.

Except for the 1.5 TSI 150 hp, which is also available with 6-speed manual transmission, all engines have 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard. In addition, all engine variants from 190 hp and up have four-wheel drive.

The new Skoda KODIAQ will arrive in all the Europe in late 2021.
